Visualizing is a powerful tool that involves communications among your mind, body, emotions, and energy.
This power of sight exists in our imagination and intuition and is a wonderful resource to help us empower ourselves to build our energetic resilience, love our nervous systems, and ditch anxiety.
Enjoy these two simple ways to bring this practice into your life and be sure to share with me below how they serve you, what you noticed, and if you have any questions.
Visualizing is a powerful tool that involves communications among your mind, body, emotions, and energy.
It’s a way of “seeing” what’s happening inside of you, “seeing” intentions, desired outcomes from situations, and more.
This power of sight exists in our imagination and intuition and is a wonderful resource to help us empower ourselves to build our energetic resilience, love our nervous systems, and ditch anxiety.
There are so many ways to use visualization and I’m going to share two with you today, so stay until the end because one of this is a simple guided meditation we’ll do together.
An important note is that there is a small segment of the population who actually cannot see these internal images and so if that’s you, I invite you to still practice these and instead focus on the sensations in your systems as felt through your body, rather than trying to “see” images as you visualize.
The first practice I am sharing with you is Visualizing Outcomes.
Before events, conversations, circumstances, even just the day ahead, it can be so helpful to visualize your ideal outcomes.
See yourself going through it and see it play out the way you want it to play out.
This can often help sensitive, deep-feelers to not experience anxiety in what would otherwise be anxiety-inducing situations by practicing visualizations beforehand.
The second practice is Clearing and Protecting your Energy.
See your energy in your mind’s eye, feel it in your body, sense the emotion associated with it and “see” it.
How does it present itself to you? How do you want this to shift? Let’s practice together now.
For many sensitive, deep-feelers, things like anxiety, exhaustion, burnout, and overthinking are super common.
Let’s do some work together on something of your choice. Pick a challenging state.
Close your eyes, imagine where this lives in your body. What does it feel like? Look like? Sound like? Taste like? What do you see? Is there a color, a texture? What does this energy present itself to you?
Now, visualize yourself transforming it into something of your choice – do this by bringing in a tool, like fire to burn it away, or a little vacuum to suck it up, get creative.
Then see it transform and let yourself “see” what you’d like in its place instead. Bring that in – perhaps joy, confidence, freedom – let yourself “see” that and create and enjoy it.
That’s it! Two awesome ways to use visualization. Tell me how you found this practice and what you chose to transform. Let me know how visualizing serves you in the comments. See you next time!
