Femininity

Femininity

Last updated on February 28th, 2021.

What does femininity mean to you? Have you ever been shamed for femininity? Feminine Shame is a real thing; regardless of personal gender identification or physical anatomy. Do you feel confused or embarrassed by the notion of femininity? Despite how femininity in today’s society is still shunned, misunderstood, objectified, and not celebrated, femininity is neither bad nor a weakness.

Feminine Shame

Feminine Shame exists because of shame we carry around the things about ourselves that are transient and cyclical – like our physical bodies and emotions. Shame is a painful emotion. Shame is tricky, insidious, and mysterious, yet it’s at the root of all human suffering and dis-ease. It’s responsible for the “there’s something wrong with me story” and is responsible for creating the things we dislike in our lives, our bodies, our relationships, and our health.

Shame is caused by resisting some part of ourselves and in that resistance, we live in a state of inner conflict and turmoil and are constantly ashamed of the part of ourselves we’ve been programmed to
believe is unworthy or invalid.

How Can We Begin to Unravel Feminine Shame?

• Stop Participating in Feminine Shame
• Stop Shaming Anyone For Their Spiral Principles
• Stop Celebrating Triangular Way Over Spiral Ones

Feminine Shame comes from resisting the parts of ourselves that are in flux.

Accepting and embracing your femininity can be an ongoing practice. As this more subtle, ever-fluctuating part evolves and strengthens, the ability to receive, surrender, and experience deeper joy and ease increase.

Femininity And Nature

Nature is the epitome of the spiral energy. Through aligning with Nature and seasonal flow, we’re more able to come into right relationship with all parts of ourselves – even ones shunned by popular culture.

The moon and all of her fluctuations impact us on Earth. The waxing and waning of this fluid, dynamic celestial body fill and empty us with emotion, insight, and wisdom. The moon is a direct link to our emotional body and through dancing with her cycle, we’re able to understand our own. Emotions, a signature component of the feminine, are crucial messengers and teachers.

I have always had a deep love affair with the moon.

If you’re curious about how you can embrace your own spiral energies more deeply but you’re not sure where to start, why not let the moon herself be your guide? Read more

Flower Essences, a form of energy healing, provide us with tremendous healing opportunities through working directly with our subtle energies. Through this deep shadow work, we’re able to influence change and healing in all aspects of our lives. Every plant carries a unique signature and offering. Unraveling the ways in which we’re disconnected from our feminine essence, befriending our core wound, and creating a bridge for re-connection is a beautiful journey that can be greatly facilitated with flower essences.

Seasonal Living

Living Seasonally helps us to plug back into the natural way of living; a way of living that our bodies and cellular intelligence understand. By having the external mirror of the flowing of the seasons as our guide, we remember what we’ve known all along. Read more

Flower Essences

Nature’s gifts are waiting to support you.

Flower Essences are one of the safest and most effective ways of getting the root (no pun intended) and subtle building blocks of your experience. So if you’re curious about Flower Essences then I hope you’ll find the answers you’re looking for in this little introduction to Flower Essences I’ve put together. Learn more

This is only the beginning.

There are many more resources available for supporting your spirally reconnection, and I hope you’ll find something useful in each of them.

The Core Wound

We all have that main epicenter of challenge. That thing that is the actual root of our perceived limitations, struggles, and hardships. It’s deep, it’s subtle, it’s insidious, it’s ancestral, and it’s painful. We spend so much of our energy running from it, pacifying it, and bypassing it. We look for “fixes,” seek external validation, numb ourselves with substances, technology, drama, and more. Ultimately, these core wounds are running the show. The truth is, however, this core wound is your liberation. Through it (not around, over, under, or away from it) is your sovereignty, your purpose, and immense wisdom and grace. All the other surface-fixing things are just band aids. For so many women, the core wound is rooted in a deep story of feminine shame they’re carrying from this lifetime and from their lineage. How this uniquely shows up for you is your treasure map.

Shadow Work

The phrase “shadow work” has been used in a wide variety of both esoteric and scientific disciplines ranging from Carl Jung’s approach to psychotherapy, to tantra, kundalini yoga, and Buddhism. As such, it’s no surprise that any time I mention my use of shadow work with my clients I get lots of questions and wide-eyed stares of skepticism and disbelief. I define Shadow Work as a process which allows us to access deep joy, purpose, and healing through our challenges and wounds. Shadow Work enables us to identify and uncover the roots of our shame to transmute it into medicine.

Energy Healing

If you’re at all interested in holistic wellness or alternative medicine then surely you’ve heard of something called energy healing. From Reiki and Qigong in the Far East to Yoga in India and Quantum Healing in the West, the world is full of various methods of working with subtle energies. Even within these disciplines there can be significant differences among practitioners, leaving us to wonder what is energy healing anyway?

Herbal Medicine

The practice of using physical plant matter in herbal medicine to enhance our well being and human experience can be seen in a variety of modalities. From Ayurveda to Chinese Medicine, Native Americans and other indigenous peoples, herbal medicine is the primary resource for healing and physical body support, and these “alternative medicine” practices have been around a lot longer than the allopathic approach of today.

Your Connection to Nature

How connected to Nature do you feel? Do you make time for Nature? Do you spend intentional moments observing and checking in with Nature? These are trick questions. Contrary to popular belief, Nature is not this separate entity that exists outside. You are Nature. Nature is you. There is no distinction. The trees, animals, and that thing you may occasionally go visit or admire is simply another iteration of your physical existence. You ARE Nature!

Holistic Nutrition

Nutrition must be thought of as a holistic concept that includes all we take in through the senses, which is so much more than the food we put into our mouths. Like food, these inputs can be of a high quality, supportive nature, or they can be toxic and poisonous to the system.

Plant Spirits and Plant Medicine

The first thing people tend to assume when they hear me bring up Flower Essences is that they are essential oils. The second most common thing I hear is that they are made of actual plant materials. Both assumptions are false. I wanted to lay out the main three forms of plant medicines, their differences, and their uses in this very basic outline.

InnerSpark’s Flower Essence Line

Flower Essences

Last updated on October 12th, 2021.

Flower Essences for Remembering + Living The Sacred Spiral

To resurrect our awareness of and reverence for the sacred spiral essence of life at this time, we need support.

It is with the utmost humility, respect, admiration, and awe that I present to you InnerSpark’s Flower Essence Line for Remembering + Living The Sacred Spiral. Among others, the growing line is founded upon eight main allies that correspond with the eight primordial, cosmic, archetypal frequencies of the spiral journey of life, as represented on InnerSpark’s Wheel of Frequencies.

These sacred plants have revealed themselves to me as great allies for the sensitive soul. With the support of these plants, the sensitive soul is gently (and maybe at times fiercely) guided along remembering, reclaiming, and living their soul’s purpose with authenticity and alignment; confidence, clarity, and ease. These plants are in support of radical sovereignty for the sensitive, introverted, magical being.

What are Flower Essences?

Flower Essences are a type of energy or vibrational healing and represent the most subtle form of plant medicine. Unlike other plant modalities, such as herbs or essential oils, Flower Essences they do not contain any plant materials. Learn more about Flower Essences (my most favorite modality).

Spurred Butterfly Pea Flower Essence

Soul’s Blueprint + Dharmic Activation

Spurred Butterfly Pea helps us to remember, reclaim, and activate our soul’s divine blueprint. You know, that sense of passion, direction, clarity, and purpose. With so much shame, pain, and trauma associated with being a womxn and especially a sensitive, magical womxn, we may find ourselves disconnected from our mission.

This mission, or Dharma, is sacred. It is mutually pleasurable; we feel just as ecstatic offering our gifts as others do receiving them. Spurred Butterfly Pea helps us remember what that sacred offering is for us; where we feel so full that we must share. It helps us to restore our original essence (who we were before life got a hold of us) and clarify our dharma. Learn more about and purchase this essence here.

When to Use:
When you feel ready to remember, reclaim, and activate your soul’s sacred purpose for incarnating in this body at this time. When your work feels empty or unsatisfying and you’re ready to merge dharma with career. May be used in conjunction with our The Void Frequency Essence from the Frequency Collection.

Corresponding Frequencies: Yule/Winter Solstice, rejuvenation, replenishment, soul blueprint, origin codes, womb-tomb, the place of no-thing and source of all things, Sophia.

“I am formless and fully surrendered, awaiting vision and direction on the next part of my spiral journey. In the great cosmic void, the womb-tomb, the in-between, I rest and take refuge. I receive repairs, mending, healing, wholeness, resiliency, my honey pot is refilled.” ~ Butterfly Pea

Wild Potato Flower Essence

Unwavering Presence + Containment

Wild Potato awakens us to the original codes of the Divine Masculine and offers immense safety and grounding – truly the likes of which you’ve maybe ever experienced. Envelopes and cocoons us so our spirally, sensitive essence knows it is safe to be in the world. Heals and restores our inner masculine so we have unwavering faith in our ability to hold ourselves.

As a sensitive soul with a delicate and porous nervous system, it can be quite hard to feel safe, held, and supported. Add to that thousands of years of patriarchal wounding and mistreatment of womxn – especially sensitive, magical ones – our systems are always subtly primed for a fight. Wild Potato is the antidote for this. Learn more about and purchase this essence here.

“I reactivate and reemerge after my time of stillness and rejuvenation. As I reemerge, powerful codes are remembered and recognized and I am one with creation as my next iteration and journey around the sacred spiral takes form. I am safe in my body. It is safe for me to take form and create containment.” ~ Wild Potato

When to Use:
Turn to this ally for healing “father wounds,” when moving acknowledging and processing patriarchal pain and anger, and/or when addressing religious trauma. When repairing boundaries that have been crossed, when healing deeply held anxiety and fear around being a sensitive woman, when you find yourself seeking “saving” or external validation. May be used in conjunction with our The Cosmic Child Essence from the Frequency Collection.

Corresponding Frequencies: Imbolc, formlessness back into form, being birthed by the cosmos.

Wine Cup Flower Essence

Queen Code Activation

Ah, Wine Cup. Wine Cup Flower Essence carries the codes of royalty, majesty, nobility, and grace. She awakens us to our royal selves through showing us our original, truest essence. Especially helpful for those that feel this regal way is unapproachable, intimidating, out of reach, or not for them.

Assists in shifting the way you relate with your Self and then adjusts your projection so you’re owning AND projecting yourself as Queen without shame. As sensitive souls on a mission to shift paradigms, know ourselves fully, and use our gifts in their fullest and most divine ways, we MUST know ourselves and live as queens. Learn more about and purchase this essence here.

When to Use:
Use when desiring to know yourself as Queen, as sovereign, as graceful. When you’re ready to stop downplaying your beauty and gifts. Excellent for those that feel this archetype is “not for them” or they’re “not good enough” or “don’t know how” to wear the crown of their lives and trust their own wisdom. May be used in conjunction with our The Sacred Activist Frequency from the Frequency Collection.

Corresponding Frequencies: Late Summer/Lammas, Queen, Cosmic Mother, devotion, sacrifice, legacy creation, she who forges new paths in love, devotion, inclusion, celebration, and honoring.

“I receive the gifts of my labor so I may uplift all into their sovereignty. My service is in devotion and I sacrifice my ego’s need for all I perceived as comfortable for the greater good. My solar essence reigns supreme as they who forges new paths, births new paradigms and rules as Queen with the fortitude to create a new, rather than upholding existing ‘legacies’ and outdated paradigms.”

Day Lily Flower Essence

Serve Yourself Authentically + Heal the World

Day Lily helps to ignite the spark and motivation within to serve others through deeply serving self. This is a huge paradigm shift for a culture that views “serving self” as “selfish,” “luxurious,” and “frivolous.” As a result, many of us have resistance towards prioritizing our needs. However, as a sensitive soul, you’re here for a mission and without softening armors, owning your strength, and choosing daily to be you and serve you, life will always feel challenging.

Additionally, Day Lily heals wounds to our creativity and helps us to tenderly be the beings we truly are in each day and moment without illusions. For softening armors, coping mechanisms, and defensiveness. For embodying our grace and expressing our totality in each moment. For living our days fully in accordance with our truth. Remember who you are; that each gift you possess is unique and needed and extraordinary. Not showing up doesn’t keep you safe. It perpetuates the collective illusion of unsafe, powerless, unworthy. Learn more about and purchase this essence here.

Corresponding Frequencies: Early autumn, priestess, guide, teacher, legacy creation, service, impact, devotion, future-oriented.

“I sacrifice my life force energy for the betterment of all to create legacy and lasting service and impact. My creativity serves as an avenue towards remembering the Way of Love, to seed future spirals of devotion, love, service, ease, grace, and peace. The seeds for the future are in the living and so long as there’s still life force energy available to this iteration, so there shall be the intention of guiding and teaching.” ~ Day Lily

When to Use:
Use when you find yourself floundering about in procrastination and self-sabotage. You are ready to share and serve and find yourself full of excuses and fatigue. When your creativity feels blocked and you feel frozen. May be used in conjunction with our The High Priestess Essence from the Frequency Collection.

Pine Essence

Removes Shame + Guilt

Pine Essence carries many codes for healing shame in complex, deep, and permeating ways and helps us stop seeking external validation, “healing,” or “saving.” Pine allows us see what is already within and reminds of our innate wholeness and beauty. Resolves childhood shame and pain and restores sensuality, erotic innocence, and healthy exploration.

Also resolves sexual shame and conflicts with the masculine through re-linking us with the sacred spiral and birth-life-death cycles in all areas of one’s life – physically, emotionally, mentally, energetically, and spiritually.

Shame truly altars genetic expression and structure by creating stagnation. Stagnation is the root of all disease; it’s a freeze state often brought on by some flavor of shame, which is the product of attachments, unmet expectations of oneself, or internalizing the wrongdoing of another. Especially useful for stabilizing the system and bringing acceptance, lightness, curiosity, and surrender.

When we’re walking around with layers of guilt and shame and feel separated from our own divine nature, it’s almost impossible to expand into our fullest potential. We run from the past, constantly seek external validation, “healing,” or “saving.” Pine helps us to stop looking to the outside and to clear the blocks that prevent us from seeing what is already within. Learn more about and purchase this essence here.

When to Use:
Use when you’re identifying and moving through the many subtle layers of shame we all carry. When you’re ready to free yourself from the grips of guilt and trauma associated with feminine shame and/or traumatic experiences of abuse and the like that left you feeling guilty or in the “wrong.” May be used in conjunction with our The Lover Frequency Essence from the Frequency Collection during late spring/Beltane.

Corresponding Frequencies: Late spring/Beltane, Venus, lover, eros, erotic innocence, pleasure, puberty, life-affirming.

“I embrace my innocence, my natural erotic essence, and shamelessly receive the pleasure and joy that are my birthright. I am eros and embrace fully the sweet orgasmic current of life and its full spectrum. My curiosity, innocence, and tenderness guide my explorations and evolution along my spiral journey.” ~ Pine

Bee Balm Flower Essence

Spiritual Discipline, Courage, + Alignment

Bee Balm is what I love to call a “daily energetic vitamin for the sensitive soul.” She brings us spiritual discipline, courage, and alignment. Ever get caught in comparison traps, procrastination, self-sabotage? These, and various other iterations of them, are our attempts to downplay our majesty and keep us separated from our magic.

When armed with focus, courage, and loving self-discipline, we choose new ways – ways that are in accordance with our values. Life on planet Earth in these modern times is hard, yes, and can be even harder as a sensitive soul here to make big changes on it. Bee Balm supports us in this lifelong mission. Learn more about and purchase this essence here.

When to Use:
Honestly? Use this daily and especially in times of “up-leveling” when it feels intense and challenging and courage and discipline may be waning. Excellent to be used in conjunction with our The Blacksmith Frequency Essence from the Frequency Collection.

“I am form and matter, creator and shapeshifter. I am a conscious, active participant as I merge personal will and divine will through my sacred being. I engage in high magic and alchemy through my consciousness, focus, and the forging of my path. I am dedicated to the pursuit of Truth.” ~ Bee Balm

Corresponding Frequencies: Summer/Summer Solstice, the blacksmith, alchemy, forging, discipline.

Black Eyed Susan Flower Essence

Connects to Feminine Lineage + Activates Will Force

Black Eyed Susan Flower Essence brings discernment and helps us see where we act out of obligation, fear, duty, or “should,” rather than devotion and authentic desire. She also connects us to our feminine lineage, specifically those that have been the witches, the healers, the mystics, the sensitives. A sweet, yet firm reminder of the profound opportunity we have now in this lifetime to create meaningful change. For those ready to tangibly move forward on their path and with their gifts.

She connects us to our genetic and spiritual feminine lineage. She activates our will force and connects our third chakra with our six chakras so we may receive the insight and have the fortitude to follow through with it. Also helps to repair the “Witch Wound” and feelings of fear and lack of safety. She assures protection and that it is time to be the sensitive, intuitive, magical, nature-aligned, tender-hearted channels and vessels we are meant to be.

She carries feminine ancestral codes and links to our maternal lineage to fuel our mission with their work, pain, stories, and the cost of NOT speaking up and expressing. Helps us to see and accept the non-negotiable importance of expressing and being true to living our values.

Black Eyed Susan offers a sweet, yet firm reminder of the profound opportunity we have now and activates us with cellular wisdom, courage, commitment. Learn more about and purchase this essence here.

When to Use:
When you are ready to connect with your inheritance on a spiritual and genetic level. When you’re ready to activate Divine Will to merge with the Divine Love within your heart. When you’re ready to embody your magic and release fear. May also be used in conjunction with our The Death Doula Frequency Essence from the Frequency Collection.

Corresponding Frequencies: Late autumn/Samhain (Halloween), usher, death doula, orgasmic release current.

“I release fully into the sweet orgasmic current of death, giving what’s no longer needed and emptying so I may fill once more in the seasons to come. For now, I release this iteration and all attachments thereto and prepare to deeply rest in the void and to receive. My work, for now, is complete.”

Dandelion Flower Essence

Energetic Sun + Regeneration

When life feels heavy and you’re feeling energetically frayed, turn to dandelion. Pure sunshine energy to support you in accessing, remembering, reclaiming, and embodying your own internal sun. Especially helpful for times when we feel depleted and run down and require some deep replenishment.

Brings a sense of lightness and playfulness. As one of the first flowering plants in spring after winter, dandelion essence brings you that same energetic quality of hope, newness, blossoming, and radiance. Resonant with the solar plexus chakra and your ability to exert your will force and live from a strong, courageous, activated center. Learn more about and purchase this essence here.

When to Use:
When you’re going through (or have recently gone through) times of extreme stress and are feeling depleted. When you’re feeling depressed, defeated, or downtrodden. Can energetically support the adrenals and chronic fatigue. When you need a dose of hope, courage, and strength. Pairs nicely with Bee Balm Flower Essence.

Sensitive Plant Flower Essence

Cosmic Support + Starseed Activation

Sensitive Plant assists the shy, withdrawn sensitive soul who doesn’t feel “at home” here on Earth. The soul whose highly perceptive, highly sensing nature can feel overwhelming and daunting.

Sensitive Plant helps us to translate the cosmic, ethereal, spiritual realms into actions, creations, etc. that serve us and the collective on Earth. For those with pent up anger, resentment, and rage at being “left behind” or who aren’t fully open to accepting and embracing the magnitude of their Earthwalk in this lifetime. Sensitive Plant helps us to channel all of this into potent action. She strengthens the central channel and our core to connect us with the core of who we really are and the medicine we carry.

Useful for those whose soul mission feels “too big,” nebulous, or “out of this world.” For starseeds feeling unable to cope with Earth’s current state because they feel foreign, overwhelmed, sad, don’t how to play the whole earth game because they’re in-between worlds. Assists those who feel limited in their ability to express because no one “gets it” or their afraid to be fully seen in the truth and totality of who they are. Helps us relate to others when we feel outcast, different, or more evolved through strengthening our ability to maintain our energy while uplifting others. Learn more about and purchase this essence here.

“I am open to remembering my cosmic allies, specifically the gifts available to me through my connection with Venus and the Pleiades. I am a sensitive soul with a mission. I am a starseed here to heal, translate, channel, and serve.”

When to Use:
Use when you’re ready to truly use your “weirdness” as a gift.

Mulberry Essence

Exuberance + Confidence

Mulberry restores flamboyancy in the system. It brings lightness, playfulness, and ease. It restores parts of ourselves we’ve shunned or shamed because we’ve been told they’re wrong or unacceptable or “too much.” We often think of “flamboyant” as obnoxious or negative.

Flamboyant means “of a person or their behavior tending to attract attention because of their exuberance, confidence, and stylishness.” Uhm, hell yes!

By restoring what’s been labeled as flamboyant and subsequently muted and shamed, liberation is available. Learn more about and puchase this essence here.

When to Use:
When you’re confronting shunned and shamed aspects of your personality that have been deemed as flamboyant – obnoxious, “too much,” wrong, unacceptable. When you’re ready to reclaim and integrate these parts and use them to enhance every aspect of your life. May also be used in conjunction with our The Initiate Frequency Essence from the Frequency Collection.

“I am learning, new, and coalescing. I trust I am provided for and that it is safe to be here, receive, be seen, and enjoy. I initiate the process by the power of my presence, curiosity, trust, joy, and my I AM.”

Corresponding Frequencies: Early Spring, maiden, fool, initiate, student, new, coalescing, playful.

Where should you start?

Each of these essences supports the sensitive soul and direct and specific ways. Just as our paths are forever spiraling and aren’t linear, there’s no “right place to start,” however some level of stabilization and previous work with Flower Essences can be beneficial. Let yourself be intuitively guided towards the one you most need at this time.

Healing Hormones & Fertility With Flower Essences

Fertility

Last updated on February 28th, 2021.

The subtle creates the gross.

Healing hormones and fertility challenges are issues many women face. Challenges we experience in our physical existence (our bodies, health, lives, relationships) are simply mirroring an imbalance, dysfunction, or state of dis-ease in our subtler bodies (the emotional, mental, and spiritual layers).

Struggles with fertility and hormonal balance more often than not have their roots in stress – physiologically impacting the adrenal glands and their delicate dance with the rest of our endocrine glands and energetically impacting our root chakra and all it encompasses.

How does this happen?  Unprocessed trauma that makes us more susceptible to the ill-effects of daily stress.  Stress and trauma are compounding.  Undigested blockages stack on top of each other and the system’s vital energetic flow goes towards trying to manage the mountain of “foreign invaders” (the energetic and physiological residue of the compounding stress).

This means that daily maintenance required by the system on all levels is maintained only halfheartedly, or depending upon the stage of the undigested blockage, completely neglected.  Additionally, the traumas in question don’t necessarily have to happen to you in your lifetime; they can also be ancestral and handed down through the lineage.

This is how dis-ease manifests on the physical body.

The subtle body sends its messages and warnings and we fail to pay attention, identify and honor the need.  The subtle creates the gross, remember?  The subtle, and now dysfunctional, building blocks of our system on all levels create an undesired gross experience.

The most interesting part of the dis-ease process is how it manifests and in which area of our physical experience and how our physical body produces its signs and symptoms of dis-ease.

In cases of fertility and hormonal balance challenges, more often not I’ve seen them linked to unprocessed issues around sexuality, femininity, and/or sexual abuse.  Shame, guilt, unworthiness, feeling dependent upon others, “creative constipation,” having a “mother wound,” and more are also tied up in these links, too.  While dietary, lifestyle (proper exercise and stress management resources, for example), herbal and nutrient interventions can work wonders, they aren’t the panacea.

True healing must begin within and on the subtle levels so they can then create the desired gross experience.

You can’t heal anything while continuing to operate from the same paradigm that bred the current dysfunction.

Flower Essences and other energetic interventions used in conjunction with practices like Personal Alchemy, yield lasting and profound results.  For addressing issues in the sacral chakra (the space in our pelvic bowl that includes all things creative and feminine), hibiscuses and lilies are the best!

A very brief guide to essences and healing feminine reproductive challenges:

  • Healing sexual trauma: Pine
  • Issues with our own inner child: Mulberry, Pine
  • Issues with our own parents or parental figures: Wild Potato, Wine Cup
  • Issues With Our Femininity: Wine Cup, Sensitive Plant
  • Feel safe in your body, root chakra healing: Pine

This is a very, very brief introduction into the many flower essences available to peel the layers of subtle woundings and create a more balanced physical experience.  It is always best to turn to an experienced, compassionate Flower Essence Therapist to guide your healing journey.

Additional Considerations:

  • Herbs & Botanicals. Mother Earth has provided all the medicine we need and while flower essences support the sublte bodies in creating the desired gross experience, herbs and botanicals offer more direct support to the physical while it is “catching up” and the subtle blocks are rebuilding it.
    • Adaptogens soothe a fried nervous system and support reproduction
    • Liver and digestive supportive herbs can also benefit hormonal balance
  • Sacral Chakra Clearing & Healing practices. Practices such as uttar basti, yoni steaming, expressive arts therapy, somatic movement, journey work, and more can be very beneficial.
  • Recognize your creativity in ALL aspects of your life – quit focusing solely on the act of reproducing a human or getting your hormones “on track”
    • Where do you feel the most creative?
    • When are you most in “the flow?”
  • A thriving spiritual life and daily practice strengthens your connection to the divine within.  It is our divinity that sustains us and sparks our ability and desire to successfully create our lives.
    • How do you connect to the divine within?
    • Do you have a daily practice for feeding your spiritual body?
  • Your vessel is a sacred temple
    • Is your current lifestyle conducive to being in a state of creative and receptive grace?
    • Are you properly feeding your physical body?  “Properly” is different for everyone and fluctuates in any given season, phase of the cycle, and life stage.
    • How do you deeply honor and care for yourself?

The physical body is a mirror.  What is yours telling you?  What needs to be addressed on the subtle level?  The physical body is slower than your subtle bodies as it’s created by these tiny, energetic building blocks over time.

Compassion, patience, and disciplined self-love are crucial during any healing process.  Working with an experienced plant medicine practitioner and intuitive mentor who can also guide in nutrition and appropriate lifestyle and supplementation will have your subtle and gross experiences regenerating in your desired frequency.

Recognize that you’re a conduit for the divine, a portal for life, a sacred being, and the great mystery itself.

Why Flower Essences?

Why Essences

Last updated on February 28th, 2021.

What Are “Flower Essences”?

When I first heard of Flower Essences, I thought someone was using a different name for Essential Oils that I hadn’t heard before.  I then thought that the use of this provocative name for Essential Oils meant that the person was part of some MLM and I was about to get a sales pitch to join their diamond sales team or something.

Essence Bottle

Oh buddy, was I wrong.  Flower Essences have changed my life in so many ways and on so many levels!

Flower Essences are a form of energetic healing and a physical representation of working with Plant Spirit Medicine.  Before I lose some of you to eye rolls and skepticism, let me explain.

Flower Essences are made from living plants and the vibrational signature or code of the plant is stored in water1 and a preservative of brandy or apple cider vinegar. Flower Essences are an energetic healing modality, meaning that there is no plant matter in formulas, making them safe for everyone with no side effects or contraindications.  They are able to be stored indefinitely, never losing the potency of the plant’s imprint.

In simplest terms, Flower Essences are energetic herbalism. In the way that ingesting a plant works on your physical body, the essence of the plant works on your energetic, emotional, and mental levels.

How Do Flower Essences Work?

Each plant has its own signature and its own purpose and medicine that it offers.  Simply because it doesn’t speak to you in the way that a fellow human does, doesn’t mean it’s not speaking.  The way an herb interacts with the body upon ingestion is a form of communication, so why wouldn’t the way an essence interacts with your intangible systems be a form of communication, as well?

Every living thing has its own particular flavor thanks to its essence, Spirit, Soul, whatever you choose to call it.  Everything on this planet is made of the same materials.  So, you and your dog, you and a rose, you and the carrot, have way more in common than you may realize.  That being said, from a purely energetic level, each of these things are here to support a Universal balance and offer guidance and healing to one another – flower and person and animal alike.  This is where Plant Spirit Medicine and Flower Essences come into play.

You are energy and everything that has ever happened to you in your life is also stored in your body2.  When this energy is flowing smoothly, all of your systems, from the subtle and intangible to the physical, flow smoothly and with ease.  When this energy is stagnant or blocked, dis-ease on some level sets in, whether its physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual.

Passion Flower

How Can They Support You?

While taking Flower Essences for symptoms such as occasional anxiety, for example, won’t hurt, working with an objective, passionate, and trained Flower Essence practitioner helps you get to the root of the anxiety so that you may rid yourself of it entirely.  Through gathering pertinent information about you, your struggles, your desires, etc. a custom essence blend is able to be channeled to support you bridging the gap between where you are and where you most desire to be.

Through a process that works very closely with the chakras (and if that’s too esoteric for you, the widely socially and scholastically accepted “Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs” is basically a rip off of the ancient system) includes peeling layers away to leave you more grounded, empowered, and in your Truth.

Every single thing, alive or inanimate, is energy.  Each creation of physical matter is the result of an unfathomable number of atoms vibrating together at a certain frequency.  They happily buzz and hum along to create a carrot, a table, a human, a pillow, and literally everything else in this physical plane.  But what dictates whether or not these tiny particles come together to form the aforementioned?

Flower Essences are ideal for helping us to shift old, outdated, and undesirable imprints, habits, or beliefs that keep us feeling stuck, frustrated, or unwell. They’ve supported people trying to make lifestyle changes, during stressful crises, to overcome fears, to deepen their connection with their intuition or the Divine, and even when physical dis-ease has manifested, as often times this signals an imbalance or blockage in the energetic, emotional, or mental levels of our being.

Why Use Flower Essences?

Flower Essences are gentle, yet powerful! They work with you to stabilize your system so that you can begin to consciously identify those subconscious patterns. From there, you’re able to rewire your mindset and your system bringing balance, vitality, clarity, greater fulfillment, improved relationships, and much more!  Some people report quick and profound changes, while others notice a subtler shift.

Flower Essences work gently and a formula, typically containing five separate essences, is custom blended for a person and three drops are generally taken three times per day for a month from a glass amber dropper bottle. In my unique approach to healing, I guide clients toward achieving Whole Being Nourishment through a combination of customized flower essence therapy, energy healing, specific rituals and practices, holistic nutrition and lifestyle counsel and coaching, and creativity and embodiment practices. The results are pure magic as they experience sustainable change and begin embodying their ideal versions of themselves from the inside out!

Plant Spirit Medicine has been used by indigenous people for millennia and as we venture further and further away from our literal roots and turn a blind eye to the basic Truth that we are of the Earth, there’s a resurgence of using such potent healing modalities for a return to wholeness and simplicity.

Why Flower Essences? Part II

Why Essences Part Two

Last updated on February 26th, 2021.

In Why Flower Essences? I presented an overview of this form of Plant Spirit Medicine and now, I’d like to dive more deeply into the energetics.

Flower Essences stabilize our systems on the “etheric” levels – or the emotional and energetic levels (everything is energy, after all) and once stabilized, we’re able to finally see and deal with those things that have been taking up space and dictating our lives.  All of these stories (or “wounds” as I call them) dictate our realities – we literally live from this place and all of our beliefs, actions, decisions, reactions, etc. stem from this wound.  After time, this takes its toll on our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies.  In addition, whether we readily admit it or not, we’ve created our entire lives around these wounds.

Living from the wound affects our physiology.  When you’re “tense” or “stressed” you may experience a tension headache, stiffness in the shoulders or knots because we carry ourselves differently in this state.

The wound creates a subconscious level of stress and we feel some level of threat when we’re attacking ourselves, thus creating a change in our physiology and body chemistry.  Stress is created through living out of the wound because we are unable to adapt to our environment, our bodies are playing catch up with their usual daily duties to compensate for all the extra stress hormones being pumped through our system.  When the physiology is affected, physical dysfunction manifests from the simple ache to overtime and with excess burden, bigger, more life altering/impacting dis-ease.  The ability to optimally digest foods and thus derive all the nutrients needed to propel proper biochemical function for everything from nail growth to hormone production and more.  The cycle is truly vicious.

Stress can be in the form of many, many things and it’s all the same to the body and wears on it tremendously.  However, our ability to adapt to and manage life’s stressors is made even more difficult when we hold onto beliefs, habits, etc. that perpetuate the behaviors that stress us out in the first place – whether it’s our inability to adopt a more health supportive diet when the one we are on hurts and stresses our digestive system, or its maintaining a positive outlook and spiritual practice, or its having a friendly inner dialogue rather than one that is just plain cruel and unusual, etc.  These things over time insidiously wear our bodies down and then voila, disease manifests.

Rather than us seeking the fix through pills, herbs, supplements, etc. we MUST bravely address the root cause of our internal landscape that contributed to the dysfunction in the first place.  THIS is where flower essences come into play.  AND, YES, seek the physical body support through said pills, herbs, supplements, etc., they’re just often not going to “fix” everything all the way, but will certainly enhance our efforts in the process.

Typically speaking, people with certain physical conditions usually have the same energetic/emotional/mental characteristics.  So, someone with adrenal fatigue, for example, is usually a type A, leader, has difficulty slowing down, having fun, and nurturing themselves, is on high alert, has a scarcity mentality, is in “fight or flight”/survival mode more than in chill mode, is running from something, etc. and these may be mostly subconscious patterns that they’ve just rolled with for decades and aren’t fully even aware of!  I wrote more about this here.

So, long story short, until the conditions within on the emotional, mental, and spiritual levels are addressed and shifted, the physical body will continually be in a state of trying to heal itself while playing catch up with its regular, daily duties creating a backlog wherein disease is even more susceptible to manifesting.  Flower Essences help us to get to the root, process it, clear it out, shift our vibration and energy, and create a more hospitable home for our spirit/soul/essence/whatever word you choose to embody.  When we’re ungrounded, fearful, running old patterns or beliefs, holding onto unprocessed emotions in our bodies, etc. our spirit doesn’t feel safe, so we’re half in, so to speak, and not fully animating our vessels making them less “vital” and more likely to breakdown.

The vibrations/energy of our imprints create the compulsion to act in such a way that creates dis-ease.  The essences/EMF of the plant come into stabilize our system and wounds so the toxicity can be removed through shifting old beliefs and emotional attachments.

Soul enters at the root and builds from there as we go through the various stages of life.  Initial difficulty/trauma gets lodged in body, becomes wound, becomes the lens through which we operate and a habitual pattern, stagnant energy ensues, chronic pattern becomes our body armor, manifests as self fulfilling prophecy all around us in our life.  Traumas at various ages and stages can end up depleting some systems, creating excess/over-compensatory energy in others, and yield general imbalance that will manifest on the physical level.

Plant Spirits & Ancestral Lineage Disease Patterns

Lineage

Last updated on February 28th, 2021.

Sure, many of the diseases we have today are “lifestyle-related” or “genetic.” My question is why is a person predisposed to something in the first place? What .wounds are running their lives that prevent the full embodiment of their Spirit and thus a healthy, vital physical body?

Sometimes these wounds aren’t even ours but are the result of our ancestral lineage. What does this mean? If there was severe trauma a few generations back, the parents who raised that child will have passed along certain traits that were passed on and and on and finally to you.

What’s more, there’s now evidence to suggest that these traumas may also lodge themselves into your genes meaning that not only are you gifted the personality/emotional traits, you may very well have these things living in your cells – and they never even happened to you, let alone happened in your lifetime!

“(Insert disease) runs in my family.” Heard that before either from your family or the family of another? Does anyone ever stop and wonder WHY!? When did this start, what started it, what traits are being passed down, what emotional wounding, and who is going to break the cycle and not simply accept things as they are? How about YOU, right now, in this lifetime?

Along with lifestyle shifts and ritual, Plant Spirit Medicine has the capacity to help you rewire the old crud to heal yourself and your past and future lineage.

All About Flower Essences

Flower Essences

Last updated on February 28th, 2021.

To learn about InnerSpark’s own line of Flower Essences, read here. Otherwise, continue reading here for an exquisite Q+A style overview on a truly majestic modality.

Introducing my clients to the magic and healing power of Flower Essences is one of my favorite parts of being a Holistic Healer. Getting to the root (no pun intended) of what’s causing your inability to be at ease, your dis-ease, is what I’m all about.

Flower Essences are one of the safest and most effective ways of getting there. So if you’re curious about Flower Essences and think that they might be useful in your own journey (spoiler alert: they are!) then I hope you’ll find the answers you’re looking for in this little introduction to Flower Essences I’ve put together. And if you still have questions then don’t be shy about reaching out to me through the links at the bottom of this article.

Plant Medicine

The first thing people tend to assume when they hear me bring up Flower Essences is that they are essential oils. The second most common thing I hear is that they are made of actual plant materials. Both assumptions are false.  I wanted to lay out the main three forms of plant medicines, their differences, and their uses in this very basic outline.

What Are Flower Essences?

Flower Essences are a form of energy medicine, or vibrational healing, that works with a plant’s energetic frequency rather than its physical constitution. This can also be referred to as energetic herbalism which uses a plant’s vibrational pattern to influence our own vibrational patterns for physical healing, emotional healing, chakra balancing, a so forth.

In simplest terms, the definition of Flower Essence therapy is a way of working with plants that doesn’t involve ingesting or using the actual plant.

While herbs and oils are phenomenal medicines as well, it’s important to understand that Flower Essences and essential oils are not the same thing. Flower Essences help to shift us on deeper, more subtle layers for profound multilevel healing. When the subtle parts of our being are no longer holding onto outdated beliefs, the physical manifestation of our life experiences more alignment and ease.

What’s the Origin of Flower Essences?

The history of Flower Essences as we know them today can be credited to Dr. Edward Bach, an English physician who created a line of essences, The Bach Remedies, in 1936. That does not, however, mean that Dr. Bach invented Flower Essences, or that his remedies are the only ones available to us.

Humans have been working with plants in various capacities since the beginning of time and working with their energies or essences is nothing new. From color therapy to solar therapy, crystal healing and sound healing, we’ve been collaboratively creating wholeness with the plethora of support that is all around us in this ancient and wonderful Earth.

How are Flower Essences Made?

Flower Essence making is a highly intuitive process that may differ from practitioner to practitioner, but it typically involves purified water, light from the sun or moon, and live plants.

Flower Essences are made very ceremoniously and in a co-creative way between the maker and the plant. Some essential elements of creating a Flower Essence include receiving permission from the plant, making an offering of some kind, receiving the plant’s wisdom or “medicine” and any special instructions.

Once the plant is done “essence-ing,” the flower water is specially diluted, mixed with a preservative and stored. Traditionally, Flower Essences are stored with alcohol, however, Flower Essences without alcohol are also available and just as potent, although they may not be preserved as long.

Are Flower Essences safe?

Yes, Flower Essences are safe for everyone. Since Flower Essences are made in a ceremonious way involving the vibrational energy of the plant there is no physical part of the plant in the Essence you’re taking. What follows are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about the safety of Flower Essences.

What are the side effects of using Flower Essences?

There are no side effects of using Flower Essences.

Do Flower Essences interact with prescription drugs?

No, there are no Flower Essence drug interactions.

Can Flower Essences cause allergic reactions?

No, Flower Essences do not cause allergic reactions.

How long do Flower Essences last?

Flower Essences do not expire.

Can Flower Essences make you sick?

No, Flower Essences will not make you sick.

In a nutshell, Flower Essences are safe for all beings of all ages. It’s even safe to use Flower Essences while breastfeeding. In fact many women find benefits while using Flower Essences during pregnancy!

You are energy and everything that has ever happened to you in your life is also stored in your body. When this energy is flowing smoothly, all of your systems, from the subtle and intangible to the physical, flow smoothly and with ease. When this energy is stagnant or blocked, dis-ease on some level sets in, whether its physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual.

To put it simply, Flower Essences carry with them an ancient wisdom encoded in the vibrational signature of the plants used to make them. Because of their gentle yet powerful effect on your energy system, you may experience healing benefits on all levels – physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. The subtle creates the gross after all, and by addressing the subtle aspects of your being (your emotional, mental, and spiritual levels), the physical regenerates in a desired way.

Are Flower Essences Effective?

I know from my own experience and my experiences with clients that Flower Essences are highly effective, and Flower Essences really do work. Feel free to read my clients’ Flower Essence testimonials and Flower Essence reviews here.

How are Flower Essences used?

Typically, a formula of about 4-6 different types will be taken at a dosage of three drops, three times per day, but keep in mind that Flower Essence dosage and how many Flower Essences to take at once will vary slightly from person to person.

Flower essences are stored in dropper bottles that make it easy to take just a few drops into the mouth, right under the tongue. Additionally, Flower Essences can be used in a bath, added to a drink, in a mist, or in personal care products.

While there are no dangers in taking Flower Essences, if you want to get the most out of your Flower Essence experience then you may benefit from the guidance of an experienced Flower Essence practitioner who can help you discover the optimal blend and method for your current needs. Once you have the right blend and method in place you can trust that the plants will intuitively lead you towards what you most need and how to best use their healing properties.

Which Flower Essences Do I Need?

Many different kinds of Flower Essences are used in healing, and every single plant on Earth has a unique offering for us, creating limitless possibilities!  It’s no wonder that deciding what Flower Essences to take and which Flower Essences to use can feel overwhelming. While there’s no “wrong” Flower Essence to take, if it’s not the one you most need and are ready for at that time, the effects may go unnoticed.

Tree essences can provide a sense of safety and support, which is an ideal place to start for most people while stabilizing and grounding the root chakra. Start by simply communicating with Nature on a daily basis, being around trees, and asking for the specific Flower Essences you need to make themselves known to you.

How can I get started with Flower Essences?

Many of my clients get their first experience with Flower Essences through my line of them in The Apothecary. Getting support from a Flower Essences practitioner is the ideal way to start to heal with Flower Essences, so a Channeled Flower Reading could be an ideal place to begin. An objective outsider who has dedicated their life to communicating and collaborating with Nature can offer clear, effective guidance.
