10 Ways to Reawaken your Creative Life Force

Creativity, sensuality, fun, and magic are all vital aspects of a well-rounded vibrant, healthy lifestyle.

Unfortunately, however, it seems that “adulting” has become synonymous with all things generally drab and meh. Creativity is lost, sensuality forgotten, fun turns into a chore, and magic becomes something laughable. Bringing back these valuable resources is easier than you think because they’ve never left – we’ve just chosen to ignore them and place our energy elsewhere.

Draw upon the inspiration of the turning seasons to guide you!

Not to worry! Here are 10 super easy ways to reconnect to and reawaken your life force.

  1. Draw or color just because. Pull out the crayons and let your imagination go wild!
  2. Try a new food this week! At the grocery store, look for a new vegetable or fruit you’ve never had and take that little gem home with you!
  3. Wear something that’s completely “not you” and see how you feel. Always wear dark colors? Pull out that teal shirt and brighten it up!
  4. Write a ridiculous short story starting with, “All of a sudden…”
  5. Take a different route to and from work/school/the store/wherever else you may go.
  6. Eat your meals in a new place. Always stay inside? Head outdoors. Always in front of the television? Turn it off and really focus on your food.
  7. Try a new form of movement this week, which will not only help you reawaken to your creative life force, but can also help you to reconnect to your physical body.
  8. Take advantage of Daylight Saving Time and revel in watching the sunrise.
  9. Soak up some sunshine and vitamin D and take some time to really observe nature. Create a story in your head about what the birds are chirping about or where they’re going. Ask your inner child to play along.
  10. Get your hands in the Earth and plant some flowers, herbs, or vegetables. Nature is our greatest healer.

I thought all the health problems, anxiety, exhaustion, and sense of not-quite-rightness were just “normal.”

What changed everything was rhythm.
A redefinition of self-care.
A remembrance of Nature’s wisdom.
